Industry body the Minerals Council South Africa says mining input costs rose by 6.6% year-on-year in May, marking a 0.6 percentage point decrease compared with April.
The decrease is a positive development, with May’s figure also having been below the first-quarter input cost increase of 6.9% year-on-year.
